The high brightness true green 5mm LED of my Inova microlight
The LED die is the usual InGaN. However the reason why there are only one wire connected instead of two, is because the die substratum is silicon (Semiconductor material) and not sapphire (Insulator material) like most InGaN LEDs.
The advantage of silicon instead of sapphire is that the LED cost is lower.

This picture is way too blurry...did you use a macro feature for close up pics?? If you did then you may have the thing too close to the lens...but if you did not use macro feature...then you need to use it for close up pics. Please delete this pic and replace it with a clear one. Thanks

Jace, I think dor123 has the only camera on his hand. I think he did do the best shot he can Neutral

Okay, I'll like him to try again, but if he can't make a better pic, I will accept this. I am a reasonable administrator.

Jace, i used the macro feature to photograph the interiors of the LED in the flashlight. The interior looks relatively sharp.
You can easily see that the LED die have only one wire connected despite it is InGaN.
