i could totally see this thing being Mercury Vapor.....glowing beautifully! Very Happy

they'd look good on Bridges,Sub-Divisions and Tunnels!

Or even CMH too, I kind of want to see new streetlights using CMH lamps instead of HPS.
Form109   [Dec 04, 2010 at 11:32 AM]
i really Hope CMH will be extensively developed in the future to improve its reliability.....might make Quartz MH obselete.
gailgrove   [Dec 04, 2010 at 01:58 PM]
Well I'm fine with HPS for now, but in the future (once they get CMH perfected I will want to see CMH.

Form109 I like quartz MH! Razz Mad But I wouldn't mind seeing more CMH.

calm down there chuck. Laughing

CMH actually lasts longer
gailgrove   [Feb 24, 2011 at 10:37 PM]

Sorry if I was too steamy. Laughing But it's like me saying to you that i want incandescent to be obselete because CFL and LED are more "efficient".
GullWhiz   [Feb 25, 2011 at 03:21 PM]
Oh I wouldn't ban quartz......but dealing with blown quartz (esp on 1000 watt) is pretty messy...and frustrating! Also the pulse start, believe it or not lasts longer, because of the simpler design of the lamp itself, although more electrical parts to fail....such as the starter (ignitor)
