Hey Niall, here is a pic taken Dec.04,2010 of the inside of one of my greenhouses with the best selection of lighting. On the left is four McGraw Edison Unidors and one GE M-250R2 that is actually a growlight,a couple 8ft fluorescents with reflectors, a 8ft high output strip and the PL Lighting 400W HPS glowlight fixtures.
Such an installation of roadlights i had saw in a Sonol gas station near Kiryat Ata junction, where the two AEG Koffer 150s installed like this in order to light the enterance and exit roads of the station. See here for one lit.
A high quality large greenhouse should use a single type of light source, ie grow HPS lamps or pink (Blue indium+orange red sodium) MH lamps (Which have a spectrum that match very good with the photosynthesis curve of the plants), in order to recive high efficiency plants growing.
