remember try to use HPS ballast or a MH ballast to try to fire it up....just like I gave the idea in told in this post I have had some BT MV lamps that was like 30+ years old that wouldn't work but i brought them back to life...it depends on what the problem is and why it wouldn't work..

Also don't forget this method!

Jace, I tried BOTH the HPS ballast and BBQ ignitor, and here are the results:

In all 5 lamps I managed to start an arc but it's very dim and flickery. The 400W Philips gave the most hopeful results because it made a couple of very brief flash at full starting brightness! The BBQ ignitor has unfortunately been ineffective.
