i think in the United States signals are required to have at least Two Heads facing that direction so that if one burns out the other is still directing traffic...strange yours only has one per Direction...or at least thats whagt im seeing here.

No theres one on the other side of the road, in fact in many places we even have three signals face each direction. I was just showing one of the poles.

Actually Form109...it depends on the States! In Illinois are much more strict! In Illinois the minimum ive seen in same direction is 3 and most often I find is 5....What I noticed for Illinois is that there must be a traffic light in each front view...left, middle right and in front (on the right side)

Yeah, most traffic lights in Ontario have another light on the other side of the road or in the median. Some installation I've seen have both the median and the one on the other side. That one in your picture looks like a MTO standard polefab sectional steel pole so I'm guessing it's either on highway 10 or highway 7(look more like it's highway 10 to me).

thank you for that information jace...its fun to hear about the diffrent setups in diffrent locations. Cool

Yes its Highway 7 in Norval

Jace,Turns out that Illinos is more strict because it Follows the Nationam MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices),while texas follows a State MUTCD (as of 2003)...probably the same now though.

Where did you find that out?
