Two (Revere?) Clamshells in a parking lot dayburners.
Here are a couple dayburning Clamshells in a parking lot on Pecos Street in Westminster I think...

Are these reveres? What kind of clamshells are these?

They look like Westinghouse OV-35s!

Yep these are Westy OV-35s! The only 1KW clamshell ever made (I think) maybe GE had one too.

Westinghouse OV-35...

I believe the Westinghouse HMA-60 was the predecessor of the OV35.

The HMA-60 was from the same product line as the OV-20. The refractor from the OV-35 is the same one used for the OV-50. And yes, GE had a 1000 watt clamshell, the Form 402 which used the M-1000 glass.

Wheeler Fullerton also had a clamshell that could take in a 700w-1000w lamp. GE also made a Form 400 with a slightly longer neck to accommodate 700w-1000w lamps.

I believe the earlier 402 was the precursor to the 402 with the M-1000 glass.
