Two Glass Refractors.
|
Right: Cooper OVZ Glass refractor from my OVZ on ebay.
Left: Refractor I got yesterday, dunno what fixture it was from, has a couple chips in it, and now is gonna be my OV-15 glass refractor.
So... How I got the second refractor...
Today, I went around places. I went to Graybar and talked with a guy there and asked where they would salvage or give away old streetlights. He suggested WL contractors, so I went to their place, and there was a yard. I talked to the guy at the yard and he let me look around it. There were TONS Of traffic signals, even the ones that were in the pile I found at evergreen! (the pile in evergreen is now gone and located at the WL contractors yard.) And I looked around more, then I spotted a pile of cobrahead streetlights. It has a Crouse Hinds or Westinghouse TUDOR, which I was surprised to see, had a "25" NEMA tag on it, I should of took some pics but I didn't.
There was that Tudor, an Crouse Hinds OVM with a glass drop lens, I presume it was from the Arapahoe and Parker road intersection, as that was the only place I saw a Crouse Hinds OVM Drop lens, plus they were working on that intersection last time I Was there, but who knows, it could of come from anywhere.
So, Tudor, Crouse HInds OVM, some 113's, some M-400 A1 FCO's, M-400 R2, and much more.
On the concrete barrier next to the cobrahead pile there was laying this refractor. I spot it and was like OH! I need that.)
The guy that was there wasn't sure about giving away the cobraheads, so he told me to come back Monday to see if I can snag some of these lights. I hope I can! But the guy said I could take the refractor, since it was just a small thing, so now I have the refractor and am using it for my OV-15 since that had no refractor.
Yay!

The Tudors here are HPS and MV
I wasn't gonna take EVERYTHING. xD Too many lights in the pile to fit in the car. I was gonna take maybe two or three, maybe four.
