OV-15 Ceremonial last firing in my house
As it is the end of an era for these lights where I grew up, I lit this for probably the last time before it gets shipped off to its new owner. Though I liked its "Silverliner" predecessor better, I still like the silver paint on these vs. the grey of most other streetlights.

Ahh. Crouse-Hinds..... BTW, how does the Westinghouse/C-Hinds/Cooper latch work? I've always wondered about that.... I mean, how does it hold in the door and how do you release it to open the light?

It's a Crouse Hinds, made 1985. The latch holds the door shut and pressing it away from the lens opens the door. The latch should spring back, but it doesn't seem to do so anymore, so you have to close the door & move the latch shut.

My OV25 remote ballast's latch (which is different from this latch) never used to spring back, but now it does. Neutral

Just to mention this light arrived nice and in-tact. The ballast was loose though.. But Nothing broke and it's all good.

Thanks for this! It would be a nice additon to my collection. Pics coming up.

I also fixed the latch, the spring was just loose and not arrached right, so I just fixed that and the latch springs back like it should now.

What happened to your other pictures?
