The contractor conveted peds to LED and got to much in a hurry, closing the head and pinching the wires. Had they shorted, it would have blown a 3 amp fuse in the head.
I see this with some new M-250R2s that NGrid replaced some older MV and HPS lights with. I think it would be cool to get some of the lights NGrid takes down. Then I'd restore them and sell them back to NGrid, but they only pay around $50 for a new cobrahead from GE so it would end up costing more to restore the lights take down than it would for them to just order a new cobrahead. NGrid has some sort of deal with GE where they only use GE streetlights and lamps and they get a HUGE discount.
