GullWhiz   [May 08, 2011 at 10:05 AM]
GE cone refractors....good stuff!!! Wow!!! Where did they come from???? I wonder if there's cool lamps inside the streetlights?
gailgrove   [May 08, 2011 at 02:22 PM]
Yep there are some shovel hats, Jace I have no idea where all of this came from, from the lights I opened they didn't have any lamps in them.
Silverliner14B   [May 08, 2011 at 05:34 PM]
Wow very nice stuff! I would be obsessed for a long time after looking at this stuff!
joe_347V   [May 08, 2011 at 09:54 PM]
I also see some kind of railway/traffic signal in the lower left next to the two arms.
gailgrove   [May 09, 2011 at 04:56 PM]
Thanks Dave, I would of liked to spend more time looking around in there too, but we where leaving, @Joseph yes a think that is a signal, we have a few more around too, I have a bunch more pictures of the museum to post too!
GullWhiz   [May 09, 2011 at 07:41 PM]
I see theres a very decorative NEMA head style fixture on the left....
streetlight98   [May 10, 2011 at 08:41 PM]
The M-250R and the gumball sticking out caught my eye. Very Happy
gailgrove   [May 10, 2011 at 08:55 PM]
Yeah, I'd really like the M250R
joe_347V   [May 10, 2011 at 09:51 PM]
And it's a silver one too! Very Happy
GullWhiz   [May 10, 2011 at 10:37 PM]
Joe From this pic right here this GE M-250R is the late 60s version....I haven't seen a silver one with the newer modern door design (a few designs such as the thumb latch, the door hidge lock design, the refractor holder design (which has cast tabs instead of separate screwed in tabs as I can see in the pic) I am not sure if it was silver..it looks more grey to me but maybe in Canada they continued the silver ones....usually silver are darker colored...
gailgrove   [May 11, 2011 at 08:36 PM]
Yep it is Silver, I'll have to open it up sometime and see what the insides are like.
joe_347V   [May 11, 2011 at 08:47 PM]
Hmm I guess GE either went with silver lumes longer in the Canada which seems like the trend even for other companies here.

Or maybe it's a Canadian version with a slightly different design like how the Canadian Form 400 powerpacks were cast instead of stamped.
GullWhiz   [May 11, 2011 at 10:02 PM]
Yeah...but the door I see here has the newer late 60s design......give us the date code of the fixture found on the tag........
joe_347V   [Feb 25, 2012 at 05:03 PM]
@Jace, that NEMA style fixture on the left sure looks a lot like my Powerlite gumball but with a vertical mount instead.
