There's a small number of streets in Thornhill that still have some of these old Powerlite B2217s in use. These are 100w HPS, most likely retrofitted from 175w mercury vapour during the late 80s - early 90s.

I'd say there's around 30 of them that I know of still lighting up the streets of Thornhill . Unfortunately they seem to be changing them with FCO 115s if the ignitor fails.
B2227/R37s are pretty common along with OV-15s and B2225s.
I noticed that York Region doesn't use Cooper often for spot replacements. They are usually FCO lights. I was in Maple today, and they have lots of LED's in they're subdivisions and small roads.
Oddly if the pole is also replaced a Cooper tends to be used and some new installs last year in Markham used a ton of OVFs.
Vaughan has been using LED on side streets since late 2010. Industrial areas were the first to be replaced and residential the last. Oddly intersections with signals are still lit with HPS.
If they replace a light with a Cooper it is a FCO OVF there. The FCO OVF''s looks good on those longer poles and they are a lot better at night. I noticed the HPS OVZ's and OV-25's in a subdivision were left but the rest are LED. I don't know who makes those LED's. I assume they are Canadian LED's. Not sure about the wattage's either.
