The Word Game IV: Verb Association!

Someone told me yesterday their husband, who's a very courteous driver, got flipped off umpteen times by cars behind them while driving them out of the Boston airport because they'd slow down to let others merge onto the freeway! (Another reason I consider owning one of THOSE vehicles)

Merging onto the freeway in a small economy car (Geo, etc)

No you shouldn't slow down. You should either speed up to go by the people merging on or move over into the next lane to the left. That's what I always do. Slowing down on a freeway is never a great idea because the person behind you might not be paying attention and hit you and besides, it just screws up the flow of traffic. I've been told New Englanders aren't as friendly as people in other parts of the country though lol. I personally think it's the east coast in general. You go out "westward" (like to Ontario or Michigan for example) everyone is so kind. I'm sure there's a few bad apples no matter where you go but there's no "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood" feel in New England lol. People tend to keep to themselves and are less likely to say hi to a stranger and what not. I tend to avoid talking to people I don't know too. I'm sorta antisocial, though you wouldn't know that from the essay-length posts I make here lol. Speaking of essays, I gotta write a history essay due Tuesday on McCarthyism (1950s Communist scare).

Driving in rush hour metropolitan traffic in AM General M923, on a miserably hot day with heat waves reflecting off the pavement

The car suddenly breaks down while in a traffic standstill while on a long length of suspended freeway and takes place when there were no cell phones so you can't call for help.

So I'm walking for miles "looking for cell phone reception"
Have you spent a lot of time in places without cell reception? I'm typing from one...

I may have. I don't use my phone often. I don't like talking on the phone. I could lock my phone in a drawer for a month, take it out, and have no missed calls lol.

Same with mine, since I rarely am even in places where it works.  I'll elaborate more in the "off" topic about that.
Dropping  a call in the convenience store (Remember that one TV commercial?)

Scratches head. Wonders what Andy is talking about. lol

Gets up. Walks away from the computer. Bangs head into wall until ideas come to mind.

Now the room smells like "Luxurious Lavender" or whatever other corny sounding scents one can think of lol.

The smell of baking brownies wafting through the house, causing my stomach to grumble
