This is the inside if the Rhode Island State House. That chandelier is entirely gold and has a couple hundred 100W incandescent lamps if i remember correctly from when i got a tour of the state house in 7th grade. There's a motor that lowers the light and all the lamps are changed yearly. I guess back in the old days it was hand cranked down.
This thing must run off it's own transformer from outside lol.

Here's a shot of the new iWay bridge in Providence. those black things hanging off the side are decorative MH sports lighters (i know what a way to cut back on glare and save money)

Sadly I think everything aside from the truss light poles is gone now...
I think I see a remote ballasted OV25 in the background.
Oh and if you add width=800 after the first img tag the picture will get shrunked down, the 800 is the width in pixels.

ahh thanks. I looked to see just how it was done. Seems simple enough.
here are some pics of I-295 back in the 80s i'd guess...
The second pic looks exactly the same as today. The 3rd has M-400 FCOs on davits, and the 4th has no more Crouse-Hinds anymore...
The pic with the utility poles looks the same today too. It's actually in MA, not RI...
