As for Andy; #2 is a lie?
Aaron, your number 3 is wrong?

1. NGrid did the T8 changeout at my grandpa's shop. :( The old lights (except for the preheater) were all reused. The troffers got those two lamp retro-fit things and the 8ft strips got T8 ballast channel covers with the ballast on the cover.
2. NGrid didn't do the changeout yet at my grandpa's shop; the lights are still there as of now.
3. Blue is my favorite color.

As for mine it was actually number 1, I do have a LED ped module with a fried driver.


1. I have a 35w HPS tallpack and a 100w MV yardlight on my house.
2. I run medium based lamps in my R47 with a socket adapter.
3. My street is lit with FCO 70w HPS AEL 115s.

I never really cared for bulldozers
My first experience up close with a mercury vapor light was the 175w MV (McGraw Edison with a /DX Westy LifeGuard lamp???) bucker light on my godparent's garden shed.  Someday if they replace it or if MV area lights are outlawed in their area, I'd like to get it.
Someday I want to find a Sansui, Fisher, Matantz, or Lafayette vacuum tube AM/FM stereo receiver.

WRONG! It's the westy blackender
I'm guessing number 1 for you Aaron because your 8' slimline fixtures have warm white lamps (most, brightest fixtures)
I really don't care that much for halophosphate warm white, although I have lots of warm white florescents
I brought home another MainLighter but have yet to test it.
I have a 400w Westy LifeGuard

@ Joe; thankfully, yes #1 is false. He told me they never got back to him and he mentioned the odds of me doing the changeout for him are high. :D T12 and T8 slimlines use identical sockets, right? I know with the troffers I'll have to shunt the sockets, but do the slimline sockets need to be modified at all? During X-mas break I'll be going to work with him. I'll be looking at the fixtures to see how many ballasts are needed as well as how many additional lights are needed (and I'll be getting pics too of course!). I'll also need to make some "jumpers" to shunt the RS sockets for the new IS ballasts. I know PS would be a much better alternative, but i know upfront cost is a key issue in this case.

1. There was a pep ralley today at my school.
2. It's going to rain tomorrow.
3. My school has pep ralleys once a month.
