When making things small may go wrong... There are limits to make everything as small as possible, especially concerning roundabouts! It doesn't look that bad from the pic, but this one is quite small and designed in a really weird way. Instead of having two lanes on the whole circumference, some places only have one. Plus there would need to be WAY more traffic to make this roundabout worth it. Oh and note the Toyota Tercel in the pic! That's the exact model I have, a Tercel CE, almost the same colour (dark blue). Keywords: American_Streetlights

Is there a difference between "roundabout" and "rotary"? I always called them rotaries. We have a few rotaties around here but most are older ones since signals are more commonly used now. In parts of Providence though, they added mini rotaries in the middle of intersections on side streets for "decorative" purposes and I suppose as a solution to people running stop signs.

I THINK it has something to do with who has the right of way when entering the circle, in a roundabout traffic entering the circle must yield to the traffic inside and traffic entering a rotary/traffic circle dosen't necessarily have to yield or something like that.

I don't think there are any in Markham, but there's some in Toronto and Waterloo.

There is one roundabout recently was constructed not far where I live. You can see this at Grimes Bridge Rd & Warsaw Rd, Roswell, GA Very Happy

The one nearest to me is here at Oaklawn Ave/Atwood Ave/Cranston Street in Cranston.
