Looks like it might be running in cold cathode mode there...seen it on near EOL lamps.

very cool! i only see this happen on older vintage lamps near EOL,newer lamps dont seem to do it

Sounds like maybe it got the improperly-installed-in-a-LPF-shoplight treatment so then they thought it was dead?
I'm considering sticking this one in use to see how long it goes before EOL...

Update...I had it on HPF rapid start for a few hours...after which it started permanently rectifying. Then it didn't last but maybe 10 seconds on electronic instant-start, with a cool, slow vacuum loss! Laughing Shocked Rolling Eyes
