Here's the "woodgrain finish" and how I was supporting the damaged socket before repairing it.  Before this, on the initial first lighting of the fixture, I supported it with a steak knife and a piece of SJTW extension cord wire the fixture came with!

oh wow, nothing small about that. Shocked interesting to see the innards of the socket though. Since the fixture is supsended you could secure a ziptie around the fixture and lamps at that end for added security lol

Shocked I don't have a Home Depot near me is the only problem! Laughing Right now it's a vintage-looking black socket (electrical tape). These are easy to repair if you have all the pieces still...
