Ahh I see. So the design 50 name still exists? I've never seen these sold in 2-packs. I've only seen the $40 10-packs at Lowe's. For 2-packs, my Lowe's sells GE lamps and for cases they sell Sylvania for T12 and GE for T8 (maybe Sylvania for T8 too).
I don't see why we ned to use all these crazy names. Why not just /WW, /W, /CW, and /D (and maybe something like "/WD" for "white daylight" for 5000K?) instead of /CWP, /741, 841, and all these crazy terms. Just put all the extra "crap" on the package and save on ink with the etches lol.
I perfer /835 and names like that because they easilly tell what cri range is and kelvin, but I Don't like when they have Crazy names like closet and laundry! Whats color is that??!
Yeah lol, the number codes and the names like /CW easily tell you what CRI and kelvin the lamps area. I've yet to figure out why GE thinks 3500K is called Office and Professional or something like that.
eh if I wan to know CRI i'll look at the box. I don't know what those /741, etc codes mean so they're of no use to me. Yeah GE names their lamps based off the apllication, or what they think the application is. cool white is utility and basement or something like that. warm white is the famous Kitchen & Bath.

That's a good question. I was thinking to make etches simpler, have the manufacturer's name/logo and have like "F40CW Series 80" or something like that.
