GE Form 400.
|
Here is a GE Form 400, along the historic Route 66, in Amarillo, Texas. There are quite a few of these along the road there, my entire trip (Starting here, going though the notheast corner of new mexico, going into Dalhart and Dumas, down to Amarillo, then down to Lubbock, then making my way towards Clovis, New Mexico, then to Santa Rosa, NM, to Las vegas, NM, then back home) The places I went to in Texas had lots of these clamshells along the roads, it's nice to see that lots of these old fixtures haven't been replaced, especially in downtown Amarillo. It kinda preserves the history of the town and the road, I don't think these are retrofitted, but I have no clue.
