An experiment: Microwaving a chinese worn out GE Standard T5 F8W/33 lamp in my mother microwave oven.

Video here
I set the microwave to 10 secs, but stopped shortly because i feared from lamp explosion as a result of possible increase in the mercury vapour pressure and glass softening.
The lamp produced very intensive pure white light that was similar in brightness to a T5 HO or even T5 VHO (Philips have T5 VHO lamps of 95W and 120W) lamp and even slightly more.
The lamp also flickered at the mains frequency (50hz), because this is the coupling frequency of the magnetron (This isn't an inverter microwave oven).
