This HPS floodlight, have a cycling HPS lamps, that behaves different than you see usually in the US.
The ignitor of this lamp isn't superimposed, but a parallel or semi-parallel ignitor, that send this lamp high voltage pulses in a speed of 2 pulses per second, and this is the reason why this HPS lamp strobes like a xenon flash tube, before ignition.
