how long did it take you to do this?...great job. Wink

This wasn't my best one. It had to be edited a bit and the textures weren't exact. Watch the animation during the flashing yellow arrow portion. The visors flash slightly too. It took me about an hour. I have a few more animations I'll upload at another date.

What are those black borders for? All new signal installations here have them.

They're backboards, nearly all the signals in Ontario have them and they're usually yellow here.

They increase the "target value" of the signal which allows the driver to see them more clearly.

They look nice too. The backboards here are black.

Lately in here in MD, I have been noticing the newest installation and traffic light renewal has this red flashing method (without the flashing yellow arrow) been replacing the "Yield on green" dog house method.....that is what I have been seeing lately.....

Apparently RIDOT has been testing out the yellow trap method (this one here) and approves of it so good-bye to the bi-color arrows. Sad Maybe i can score a few... Neutral Very Happy

Hmm Ontario is still using the traditional four section signals with bi-colour arrows and I don't think the MTO is even testing the flashing yellow arrow left turn heads yet. We even still have some old school green arrow only and flashing green ball signals left too.
