Westinghouse vs. Cooper floodlights
|
Seattle City Light used to use these large Westinghouse MFB floods (I was told they were originally 1000w mercury - later converted to 400w HPS) when a floodlight was desired to be rented for use on private property. In the 80's, the Cooper box floods started to replace them. There are still some MFB's left around the City, but they are generally replaced with Cooper or GE boxes instead of maintained. This was one of the biggest clusters I've seen (June 2009). I've seen a few 750 and 1000w HPS versions too....they're crazy bright!
