I bet this is a replacement ballast, it sure doesn't look original to me! AEL still makes this light too!

Probably, I don't think Powerlite/Sylvania lumes had plastic caps in them.

Yeah and the ballast would have been on the door if it was orional.

Actually, Michael, No. The ballasts on the power brackets were always on the top. You are confusing "Power bracket" and "Power door" Power brackets are called that because they have the ballast in the arm and it's convenient. I guess.

But all power brackets had the ballasts on the top Section.

Actually the original GE Powr/Bracket had and still has the ballast mounted to the door so it was a Powr/Door, I believe GE was the only manufacturer to do that though.

This one's missing its cover (at least it was, the last time I've seen it in person), showing the ballast. This one uses Marrette 33 connectors! And the duplex is attached to the pole using a more suitable porcelain insulator, the one I prefer.

This one doesn't work either.
