Another save...this one works fine and is slightly buzzy...more so than my other two full power, PCB-containing rapid start ballasts...(which are in daily use)

This one buzzes till it warms up, then suddenly falls silent after about ten minutes. Maybe that has something to do with the Sylvania /CWP lamp on one side that starts up mercury-starved
why is this one? BTW, i swapped the sylvanias for GEs and the GEs take about 3-5 seconds to come on. One lamp glows dimly and the other striates like it's mercury starved then they flash on. I'm thinking of putting either the Valmont or Advance ballast in the fixture as neither haev PCBs unlike the universal ballast, which does IIRC. Of course I'll keep the ballast but I'd rather not have a PCB incident.

No lamp is perfect; I get to live with the flicker and "slow to come on" issues as well with some of my tubes...
I have a pair of pre-EcoLux GE "Plant&Aquarium" tubes in my Sears shoplight (the one with the PCB-leeched tar leak and it almost instant starts those (in my experience full-power (.77 amp or .8 amp) ballasts have very little startup flicker.
BTW ever notice that "Grow-Lux" tubes (i.e GE Plant/Aquarium) have a VERY NOTICEABLE LED-christmas-lights type 60Hz flicker? Do your Westy Agro-Lites do that?
Well in that case my room could have a major PCB and mercury incident turning the whole neighborhood into a Superfund site
I only have 2 PCB ballasts in use right now and they're all in the garage so even if I have a PCB incident it should be contained to the garage only. Those fixture are fused so I think the ballast is highly unlikely to blow though. Also I only use full wattage lamps so it should run cooler than when it was at my old high school which stuck a 34w Sylvania T12 in.
I do have other PCB ballasts both NOS and used but they're not in regular use.
Both of my fixtures have PCB containing ballasts. I was thinking of also swapping out the ballast in my single lamp preheat industrial, but i don't want to hurt the cloth wires if i removed it from the fixture and folded up the wires. I doubt anything would go wrong anyways since i use 40W lamps and the fixtures are never left running unattended.
