GE Mazda! Found this lamp in a ceiling fan in my mother's bedroom at my house in CA of all places! The lights on the fan hadn't worked in years and obviously this bulb just got stuck in there to fill a hole. I'm not sure WHERE this came from or WHY it got there but I sorta want to think I remember this bulb...must've come in a lamp from a yard sale or something! Could this really be from the 1940s?! GE Mazda!

It probably is! The MAZDA name was dropped in 1945 if I remember. Being a single-coil tungsten lamp it's probably from the 30s or early 40s.

i wonder, why did many people use such low wattage lamps in their houses way back then? BTW, SWEET lamp!

Yeah I saved this one and still have it! Could be my oldest lamp too...
