Hmm I didn't know you could take off an endcap without destroying the lamp. I know the Westy bakelite endcaps are prone to being loose though. I always have to reglue my endcaps on my westie lights when i get them... I've seen the RDC pieces pulled off of HO lamps though, making them bi-pin without any further modifications.
