I wonder why this had no comments. They should make the FCO's have a cover to diffuse the light like a coated lamp over the normal clear lamp.

Well, i think you are referring to frosted FCO glass instead of clear. That sounds like a good idea to be, but frosted glass is more exensive, so some may not be willing to pay the extra cash.

Well I guess someone here could use something like this to etch a FCO glass and see if it's any better.

Yes. I'm sure you have heard of etched glass before. I was thinking "Why not have a prismatic FCO lens? Drop lenses are prismatic." I wonder why companies don't offer it. I somehow don't think it's a cost issue, but it's the best reason i could think of

I know they used to have diffused flat glass for OV-15 TuDors.....They basically looked like frosted glass...

I guess the closest thing to a prismatic FCO glass that I know of is the sag lens that comes with the OVY.

Problem is the "glass" on this FCO M-400 R3 is Plexiglass so it isn't GLASS, it's plastic.

In that case you can diffuse this on the inside part with sandpaper.
